I’ve taken classes from another studio, do I have to start from the beginning?
Thank you for choosing Aradia Fitness! With the popularity of pole dance and aerial fitness as it continues to grow more mainstream, we understand that many people have taken or tried pole dancing or aerial classes before. We certainly cannot wait to welcome you into the Aradia Fitness family as you continue your pole journey.
Our goal is to place you into a level where you will feel comfortable. We know it is often intimidating to get started at a new studio as class structures, teaching styles and technique names vary from studio to studio.
If you have previous experience, it’s not necessary for you to start from the beginning. Simply email us at firstname.lastname@example.org, and we will figure out the best class that suits your ability.
I’m Brand New to Pole Dancing and/or Aerial. Where Do I Start?
We ask that students who are brand new to Pole Dancing start with our “Intro to Pole” and those new with Aerial please start with our “Intro to Aerials”. After completion of your Intro class, you will then be ready to begin with our Pole 1 class series or, in the case of Aerials, either Silks L1 and Lyra L1 classes!
How long are the classes?
The pole classes are approximately 60 minutes long and the aerial classes are approximately 75 minutes long. We offer several dates and times of each level every week, which allows you to create the frequency of attendance that best fits into your lifestyle.
What Do I Wear to a Class?
We wear normal workout clothing- what you feel comfortable to move around in. As you progress to the higher levels, skirts or shorts are encouraged (especially for inverting). We dance barefoot or wear Foot Undeez. After Pole 2, students are welcome to bring in their dance shoes. On the day of class, please refrain from applying hand lotion, this makes hands slippery. At the time of class, please remove rings, bracelets and watches. All aerial classes require leggings on the apparatus.

I’m feeling a bit shy! What can I expect from my first pole class?
No worries! Most students feel shy and nervous in their first class, but once they walk through our door and enter our studio- they feel welcomed and encouraged! Our studio is private, with no more than 12 people per class. Our instructors are encouraging, non-judgmental and lots of fun! Our program consists of floor, mat and pole work, which comes together to build a total body workout with the fun of course!
How do I sign up for a class?
The best way to sign up for a class, is to visit our “Schedule” page under “Classes” and click on the class that you would like to sign up for. Pre-payment is required to hold a spot in the class. All class registrations and class payments are accessible through the Schedule House Registration portal (you can also download the Schedule House App!). This allows you to create a user account where you can manage your class schedule.
Do you offer private lessons?
Yes, we offer private and semi-private lessons. These are customized lessons, based on the clients’ interests and goals. To find out more about private lessons, please email us at email@example.com.
One class ends later than another one starts. Can I register for both classes anyway?
The short answer is no. Please pick and choose the class you would like to attend. Yes some Aerial and Pole classes run at the same times and end at different times however without a cool down or warm up in one or the other class, this could cause injury. It is also disruptive to other students when people are jumping in or jumping out of classes at different times. There are plenty of options available so please view the schedule to select classes that you can complete in full.
What is your missed class policy?
We allow a 5 hour window for class cancellations. You can manage your class cancellations through your Schedule House Online user account. Any cancellations made 5 hours or less prior to class start time, or any no show attendances, will count as a “late cancel”. In the event of a late cancel or no show, you will lose the class credit and for memberships and New Aradia Client Special you will be charged a Late Cancel/No Show fee of $10 +GST. Thank you in advance for your consideration of other clients, as we want to ensure that spots are available for those that need them.
Do You Have A Refund Policy?
All sales are final. In the event of extenuating circumstances (such as illness, injury or other emergency), please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org to discuss a possible class extension or missed class forgiveness. These are determined on a case-by-case basis and are not a guarantee. Please review our Policies for additional info.

Even more, Aradia Fitness instructors complete a rigorous internship & training program before taking both a written & practical exam to obtain the Aradia Fitness Instructor Certification. Some of our instructors include paramedics, business owners, sales managers, teachers, personal trainers and more.
I haven’t worked out in a long time… will I be able to keep up?
The great thing about Aradia Fitness classes is that everyone is new to this form of fitness… so everyone learns together. Our yoga workout in the beginner pole dance fitness classes is designed to gently build the strength & flexibility you will need to advance on the pole. Our pole dance fitness classes are broken down into eight comprehensive levels. Everyone starts with the Intro to Pole class, then continues to Pole 1 and is allowed to progress at their own pace.
For aerial, you begin with the Intro to Aerials class and move on to Silks L1 and/or Lyra L1. We warm up on the floor and then move slowly to the lyra (hoop) or silks to continue our workout before learning foundations and moves.
Clients who are a bit intimidated by the pole or aerials can still bask in the amazing Aradia Fitness environment by participating in our unique line of Design Fit workouts. Our Design Fit classes appeal to people on all ends of the fitness spectrum… we offer gentle, yoga-inspired workouts for the beginning fitness student up to high-energy, cardio-blasting classes for the very active client!
How do clients advance or progress through the pole / aerial levels?
Clients quickly discover that pole dancing is not quite as easy as it looks! Both pole dance and aerial fitness are forms of movement that are unlike any activity you have done before. After your first class, you will feel how sore your new “pole / aerial muscles” are.
At Aradia Fitness, safety is a top priority. While we appreciate the enthusiasm of clients who want to advance quickly to do “that cool trick” she saw on YouTube, we urge you to keep the age-old saying in mind – “You can’t run before you can walk!”
Depending on the time clients are prepared to invest in their pole fitness journey, we have found it takes people anywhere from 8-16 classes before they can safely & properly perform the techniques, tricks & spins of each level. For aerial it is between 12-20 classes typically. The last thing we want is for a client to injure themselves attempting a technique that their body is not yet ready for. Taking at least one class or more per week will help you advance more rapidly than taking infrequent classes… it’s like any other workout. The more frequent, the more results.
Is there an age requirement to take your classes?
Due to the inherent sensual nature of most Aradia Fitness classes, all clients must be eighteen years of age or older to attend classes at our studio or with parental consent and signature for those from 14 to 17 years old. We CAN offer a “toned down” version of our pole fitness classes for younger groups if requested, however this would need to be scheduled as a private lesson and parental waivers will be required.
Do I have to wear those crazy shoes in pole class?
In the Teaser Class, Pole 1 and Pole 2 you will dance barefoot. After that, you are welcome to wear high heels if you’d like to. Heels definitely increase the workout (not to mention they make your legs looks great AND they’re sexy!) but they are NOT required. If you DO choose to wear shoes, please make sure they are pole dance shoes with an ankle strap or dance boots. We know you have TONS of fabulous shoes in your closet, but unfortunately those are not acceptable shoes for the studio. If you have any questions as to what acceptable pole shoes are, just ask us – we are happy to help.
Is there any nudity?
Nope – no nudity! Some classes may teach striptease techniques but you are covered at all times.
Are men allowed in class?
Yes. Most of our classes are Co-Ed. We are inclusive to anyone and everyone and we find our students all feel comfortable around each other and become friends quickly!
Do you sell gift certificates?
We sure do! Our gift certificates are the perfect gift and they are available in any denomination. If you would like to purchase a gift certificate, please email us at email@example.com or you can purchase through our online store!
My best friend is getting married! Do you host bachelorette parties?
Of course – we host parties for ANY occasion! We’ve even hosted Bachelor Parties as well! Please visit the “Parties” page of the website for more information.
Is there a weight limit for class?
No weight limit for the Intro to Pole or Level 1 Pole Class. The weight limit for classes beyond basic pole classes can range from 250-300 lbs, due to the different manufactures of the pole. It would be best to contact the studio to check. However, there is no weight limit for flexibility and floor work classes and specialty classes such as lap dance and POUND® (among other classes) also have no weight limit.
I don’t have a dance background (and to tell you the truth, I’m not even that coordinated!). Can I still take class?
Absolutely! As a matter of fact, most of our students have no dance background. (And you might be surprised to find out how coordinated you are after a few classes!)
What if I want to take more than one class a week?
How much do classes cost?
For complete pricing information, please visit the “Pricing” tab under the “Classes” page
I have NO upper body strength! Can I still take class?
Of course you can!!! The beauty of pole fitness is that it trains your upper body (as well as the rest of it) to build the strength necessary to progress and it all begins from the FIRST class you take!
Have a great day! If there is a question that we have not answered please free to email.
