Please read the policies below that help us to keep these standards high and allow us to offer you the flexibility that has become our standard. We at Aradia Fitness appreciate your business and want to continue to offer the high quality and variety of classes at our dance studio in Calgary.

Class Attendance and Registration

Pre-registration is required for all classes, as space is limited. Walk-ins are not guaranteed a spot. Classes with two or fewer registrants five hours before start time may be canceled at management’s discretion.

Please select classes carefully to avoid scheduling conflicts. Some Pole and Aerial classes overlap, and missing warm-ups or cool-downs can lead to injury and disrupt others. Only choose classes you can complete in full.

Level Progression:

  • First-time Pole/Aerial students must complete an Intro class before attending other sessions.
  • Pole Level Advancement: Minimum of 8 classes in your current level + an assessment completed by an instructor.
  • Aerial Level Advancement: Minimum of 12 classes in your current level + an assessment completed by an instructor.
  • Consistent attendance (at least once per week) supports faster progress.

Experienced Pole or Aerial students new to Aradia Fitness should email calgary@aradiafitness.com or fill out our Assessment Form for level placement guidance.

No Show/Late Cancel Policy

You may cancel a class up to 12 hours before start time without penalty—your class credit will be returned to your account.

Late Cancel & No-Show:

  • Cancelling less than 12 hours before class or failing to attend is considered a late cancel/no-show.
  • Class Packages: One class credit will be deducted.
  • Gold, Silver, Bronze, Copper Members: One class credit will be deducted + $15+GST fee.
  • Platinum Members & 2-Week Intro Clients: $15+GST fee per late cancel/no-show.
  • Design Fit Classes: The class credit is forfeited.
  • Outstanding fees must be settled before attending future classes.

Aradia may cancel classes due to low registration, weather, or instructor illness. If this happens, your class credit will be returned.

  • Single Classes & Class Packs (Pole & Aerial) expire 6 months from the purchase date.
  • Students are responsible for tracking their class/package expiration dates.
  • Expiration extensions are granted only in extenuating circumstances and are subject to a $5+GST per class fee (up to a max of $25+GST) for a one-time, one-month extension.

Class Etiquette & Safety Policies

Aradia Fitness prioritizes safety and comfort. Clients are expected to be respectful, attentive, and follow instructor guidance. Unauthorized exercises may result in dismissal without a refund. Instructors may also restrict certain techniques for safety reasons. At Aradia Fitness we have our client’s safety and wellness top of mind and do our best to mitigate risk and injury, helping students progress safely. Group classes are designed to ensure that all participants at a given level can safely attempt the movements. By signing up for a group class, you acknowledge that the class structure balances the needs of all students. While instructors strive to challenge each individual, some compromises may be necessary to accommodate different skill levels and ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment.

Cell phones should be silent, and conversations should be kept to a minimum to avoid disruptions. Always respect classmates’ privacy when taking images. You must ask if someone is okay to be in your video and notify anyone who may be in the line of sight of your video. Please do not disrupt another student’s class experience with your filming Students may film themselves, but students are not permitted to film instruction or the instructor without permission.

If you ever feel uncomfortable in class, inform your instructor immediately or contact us afterward.

These policies supersede any previously posted policies and any previously dated policies on written documents including those outlined in paper membership contracts and may be changed at any time at the discretion of Aradia Fitness Calgary management.

What to Wear

Aerials:

We recommend tight-fitting clothes (like yoga pants, tight-fitting shirts, leotards, etc.). Loose-fitting clothing can get caught or torn. We require students to wear long pants that cover the back of the knees. We ask students to cover torsos for silks classes. Consider sleeves to cover your armpits for certain movements.

Students may not wear zippers, velcro, snaps, abrasive fabrics, sequins, rhinestones, or other sharp objects on their person while on the apparatus. These items can rip silks and shred tape.

Pole:

Wear athletic attire such as fitted, opaque shorts, sports bras, or tank tops. In Pole 2 and higher levels, skin contact is essential for grip, particularly on the legs, knee and elbow pits, sides, and shoulders. Students may wear pole-specific “grip” pants but should be aware that for some movements the pants may not be as effective.

Jewelry Policy

To protect both students and the equipment, all jewelry must be removed before class, including rings, watches, bracelets, and necklaces. Small stud earrings are allowed. Any jewelry that cannot be removed must be securely covered with medical or athletic tape, which students must provide themselves. If jewelry is not removed or properly covered, the student will be asked to sit out. Hockey tape or any excessively sticky tape is not permitted on the apparatus.

Nails

For silks, we ask that students keep their nails on the shorter side (hands and feet) with no bedazzling that can get caught on silks. Nails should be kept short(er), smooth, and free of sharp edges to prevent snagging or damaging the silks.

*A $25 administration fee will apply to requests for rescheduling to a different day. Exceptions to this policy may be made due to extenuating circumstances at the sole discretion of the studio management.
