To kick off 2020, our first instructor feature showcases Jordanna Hogan! We love how creative she is in her classes and how her fun and sparkling personality shines through. Jordanna is a very valued member of our team, and her commitment to learning more and more to be the very best instructor she can be is something we admire about her. She always keeps us laughing, and we are all so lucky to have her!

Jordanna became a member of the team in November 2018 after completing training for Pole 1 through 4. She also teaches some of our Exotic classes (her favourite style) as well as the occasional Pole Fluidity class. Outside of pole, Jordanna plays piano and guitar and does a bit of painting. You can get a taste of some of her passion for music on her instagram stories as well as other hilarious material (including her new kitty =^-^=).

What surprised you the most about pole fitness?

How something that is so challenging was also fun and rewarding enough to hold my attention and actually stick with – not an easy feat! 😉

What is your current favourite pole/aerial move?

Lately it’s been anything involving deadlifts, mainly deadlifted one-handed handstands and aerial shoulder mounts.

Do you have a favourite off the pole conditioning exercise?

I like to work on my flexibility with yoga and deep stretching and also handstands are great conditioning for pole.

What are your current pole and aerial goals for yourself and for your students?

My personal goals are to significantly improve my flexibility and range of motion. For my students, my goal is that they feel and see tangible progress in their pole career everyday!

How would you describe your teaching style?

I would say I’m quite laid back and like to make my students laugh, making it an easy going, enjoyable class. I also try to keep my students mindful of proper technique and always make sure their toes are POINTED.

What do you think students gain from being members at Aradia?

I think that students are truly gaining exceptional instruction and stellar foundation with Aradia. I say that with confidence because even going through my certification I gained a new found appreciation to the amount of learning the instructors go through just to be able to pass that knowledge onto their classes.

Can you provide one piece of advice for students working through their pole journey?

Do not compare yourself to others!!!
